Aids
« on: 2007, March 01, 02:11:07 pm »
How have you seen it effect you or others?
Do you think there maybe ways to stop it?
How do you feel about an activly sexual lifestyle?
Should people be tought how to have safe sex if they are going to have it?
Should people be tought that sex before marrage is bad?
What do you think about all of this and how it relates to aids?
What do you feel about the countries that claim to have a cure for aids.
Glad to be of Service.

How have you seen it effect you or others?  Paranoid masses of people believing myths instead of truths.  HIV/AIDS very scary, people should smart up some about it, and in the choices they make.  People say they will make the right choice when the time comes for safe sex, but in the heat of the moment they don't.  Then they stress for 6 months until they get tested and either way + or - it all could have been avoided.

Do you think there maybe ways to stop it?  Duh.  Right now as it stands, if you are freshly infected with HIV from a person HIV+, go to the doctor, they will most likely put you on 3 types of antivirals, from there you wait it out.  Most times if started on treatment before seroconversion you can beat it.  But you don't have to take my word for it.

How do you feel about an actively sexual lifestyle?  Good hygiene and rubbers help.  If its with the same partner, then why not.  The more you screw around the more you run into problems like STDs or babies.  Count your blessings for sex clinics, and penicillin.  Have fun, but if you get something that could kill you or rot your peter off...  heh, you were warned.

Should people be taught how to have safe sex if they are going to have it?  Yes, just like you have to learn how to drive.  Driving before you even get your permit you have to pass a test from information in the DMV handbook.  Sex..., people don't even know what a hymen is so sex ed and safe sex should really go together.

Should people be taught that sex before marriage is bad?  Why, not everyone can marry.

What do you think about all of this and how it relates to aids?  Hmm,  most people have a stigma on this sort of issue.  Sex and HIV/AIDS are both creepy and embarrassing on their own, but then you have to break it down further and wonder whats really going on.  People are going to continue spreading it around regardless because sex in wonderful.  You get a guy or girl and its a first time event and they are gonna take all that education and throw it away because Mmm Penis or something like that.  I won't even consider it without seeing freaking papers or knowing that the person is free of said icky.

A majority of the USA still believes that the LGBT community is the heavy firestorm of it which is no longer true.  Thank the heavens for a majority of the world being straight and having the same biological faults as every human on this planet because they are the majority of HIV/AIDS infected.  Not all people get it from sex, but since most of the questions have been gear that way, its what i'm gonna stick with to keep it short.

Sexually a female runs a higher risk of becoming infected since sex is extremely traumatic to the vaginal walls and so on.  Sodomy of any kind runs a great risk for the same reasons.  Though men can get it since the urethra has pink mucous membrane tissue and while during sex the penis can also suffer micro traumas that exposes blood barrier.  Really the only safe sex would be mutual masturbation.  That's something I don't see being taught anywhere.

What do you feel about the countries that claim to have a cure for aids?  Maybe they do, maybe they don't.  Some people are immune to it.  There are some people like Magic Johnson who has had it forever and is still healthy and more importantly, alive.  There are so many studies going on around the world with curing, preventing, treating, and so on that the outlook is bright.  We know that certain bacterias that grow and colonize in the oral and vaginal cavities love to eat the sugar that HIV insulates itself in.  Once that barrier is down the virus dies.  We know that once with contact with air or temperature to hot or to cold it dies.  The chances of getting the Hi five are strange.  blood splash is like 1:500,000 chance sexual intercourse is like 1:5000   You should worry more about HEP B and HEP C with those kinds of odds.  Plus our medications for helping HEP C really won't keep you around for a decade or more.  HEP C will kill you and I think those odds are 1:8 to 1:30.  HIV/AIDS...  Not as much the Black Plague as it used to be.

One pal of mine has died of AIDS.
Another has been living with it for more than 20 years. He was a promiscuous club kid in New England, and ended up infected during the height of the HIV scare. He goes through cycles of psychological status, sometimes playing the 'victim', sometimes an advocate for the 'disabled'. He's been living on public assistance for many years, and chose to leave Anchorage after feeling he was get less than adequate services for his public transportation and health care needs. I miss him, and feel good knowing he's more content in a bigger city. He never feels comfortable making long term plans, since his body systems are unpredictable.   :(

To be honest I have only meet one person (to my knowledge anyway) with Aids, and they came to school to talk about it. Though I have seen other people that have become so paranoid about it that even if they know for sure that there partner has never done anything with anyone before they will go through extreme testing to make sure they are clean before they will do anything even after marrage.

Do you think there maybe ways to stop it?
I am pretty sure there are, just in this world today, no one cares anymore to take the next big step and take a risk. There are so many people that stake claims to having a cure I don’t know. I hope I don’t have to find out though.

How do you feel about an activly sexual lifestyle?
More power to you, just be safe and smart about it. To each there own. I prefer to be active with my partner though.

Should people be tought how to have safe sex if they are going to have it?
HELL YESH! If people are going to do it, you may as well teach them how to do it with safety and wisely.

Should people be tought that sex before marrage is bad?
I think it depends on there beliefs, but in my own idea’s I think they should be advised to wait till the time is right, not nessarly marrage, and to always be smart about it.

What do you think about all of this and how it relates to aids?
Well when it comes to sex there is always a connection to AIDS, but there are other ways of getting it. So I think that in any risky action one should always be tought how to do it as safely as possible, wether its sky diving, or sex.

What do you feel about the countries that claim to have a cure for aids?
I say if they do they should share it. Lol.
