So, do you think beloved pets go to Heaven?

I don’t see why not. I think everything has its place both in this life and the next. Were ever it may lead.
But that leads to another good question.
Do dogs, cats, and other animals have souls? Why?

I really hope that pets do go to heaven. I had a cat named Dinger. If we needed an animal to convince us that they should go to heaven it would be him. I can only say that I hope because I really have no clue.

Do pets go to heaven? Hmmmm for me, that is a NO. I believe we human being are the only one who does go to heave (if at all).

I think folks come up with the whole thinking of “my dog is dead, but she is in heave” to ease their mind. Now before I start offending/angering folks who just read that, let me explain my reasoning for it.

I had owned a dog that passed away. Course I came to believe that he is in heave. My parents (more so my mom) were quick to jump in and tell me that is not the case. An animal dies and that’s it. It decomposes and becomes part of the earth. There is no better place for them after death.

Now, that I am giving this a more in depth thought, I can say that we as people DON’T go to heave either. We are animals too and what makes us different to a dog, horse, wolf, donkey, monkies, whales, etc? They don’t have a soul. We do though? But can that be what we (humans) just made up? Animals can feel pain and have personalities.  Course none can talk (parets can only mimic) and have the intelligence/comprhension as us.

In a religious view point, one can say that we were created to god’s image. God loves us so much more than any other species on this planet; thus, maybe God did gave us something that diffrenicate all other species- the access to go to heaven? A possibility no doubt.

Hmmm, those are very good questions and discussions that can spur up. Course it won’t happen if folks reponds and give their input.

I don't know much about heaven, but from a technical standpoint it's not really proven. Most religions are faith based...aaand I'm getting a bit off topic.


If there is a heaven, I would sure hope animals/pets go there too. We're animals ourselves, so why can't they go?

umm cause they have fur...I dont know...hehe. I would asume they can get in just as well as us...maybe there are furries in heaven.

There are a lot of people that don't believe that humans are animals, so that would be one reason why pets wouldn't go to Heaven while humans would.  There's also the religious belief that "humans are special creations" and because of that, they get to go to Heaven, like Kritter said.  Or that humans have souls but animals don't.

No clue really, I don't believe in a Heaven, so I don't think anything goes there.

What Foxie just said is one of the points that Christians will say "Humans are the only ones with souls." "Humans are the only ones that can have a relationship with God" Humans are the only ones... and so forth.

Yes, it is nice to think/wish that every animal goes to heaven- if there is a heaven at all. Guess we won't know for sure till we die. LOL!

Humans were Gods special creation. He made them in his own image, and breathed life in to them. To my knowledge it doesnt say anywere that God gave other creatures, souls, or the choice of right or wrong. Just mankind.
