Who was your first crush...who was not real?
« on: 2008, June 03, 10:41:52 pm »
Mine was, believe it or not, Gollum from The Hobbit.

Now, I KNOW that sounds weird, but keep in mind the first version of The Hobbit I heard was a tape recording.  I had never seen the Lord of the Rings series, or the cartoon, or any picture of Gollum.  Come to think of it, I'd also seen a play where Gollum was played by a girl, and she didn't look ugly or anything. :p So I had a crush on Gollum, thinking his snake-like voice was "sexy," (I didn't really understand what that meant) and figuring he was just an ordinary human or hobbit that was unlucky.

I must have been...oh, 10 or 11.  Maybe younger.  I was in denial, telling everyone he wasn't bad, and everyone was like, "Yes he is, he killed his friend!" and I was like, "No, he was just led astray by the ring!"  Then I imagined a younger Gollum, who was a cute guy about my age and we went on adventures together.  It was mostly fun and games, barely romantic and entirely non-sexual.

I think it would have had to be either Christoper Adkins (of Blue Lagoon fame) or Leif Garrett.

The silly witch from Hocus Pocus. The one played by Sarah Jessica Parker. She was cute.

First crush that wasn't a real person?  (seems like Zev didn't catch that part <.<)

Miles "Tails" Prower.  Yes the little two-tailed fox from the Sonic the Hedgehog games.  As any furries here probably know, Tails is pretty well-liked/admired/worshipped in the furry fandom, but no, my crush wasn't as a horny teen or adult wanting to unf the little kit, it was around the time I was seven or so years old.

The funny thing though is that I never realized it until I was much older, in my mid or late teens.  I always liked him, he was one of my favorite video game characters.  In elementary school I had a friend who would play pretend Sonic the Hedgehog games with me during recess, he'd play as Sonic and I'd be Tails, always.

There was a dream I had once when I was seven or so though.  Can't remember all the details, I forgot most of them before actually getting out of bed since it happened during the middle of the night and woke me from my sleep.  Basically it was just me 'with' him, like in that innocent way like having a friend you're always with, but at the end of the dream, he said he had to go away, which upset me enough to actually wake me up. >.>  That strong emotional response to the dream is probably the only reason why I still remember it.

I remember writing down really vague details on a piece of paper when I woke up, to try to help me remember the dream.  I can't remember exactly what I wrote, but I remember intentionally leaving details out, specifically about my feelings during the dream, because for whatever reason I felt it was "wrong" or at the very least it would be embarrassing if someone read it.

Like I said, it wasn't until I was older, looking back on it, that I realized the feeling was actually a sort of love, like when you have a crush on someone.  So for years I never really knew what the dream meant or what the feeling was I felt during the dream.  Remembering the dream years later though made me realize some things when I figured out I was gay.  It may not have been what sparked my interest in males, but it showed me that my interest went back into my childhood.

So yeah, short answer after the long story, Tails was my first crush on a fictional character.

Hm... Sirius Black, or Snape :3 I was a big Harry Potter fan... read the first one before it became popular, and was hooked ever since. But when the movies came out omg!!! Rick Allen's voice is SOOOO sexy!! *purrs* So I'd have to say snape lol.
Actually, come to think of it, I used to LOVE the lion from wizard of oz :D hahah! So I used to love watching wizard of oz from when I was little cos I was fascinated how his tail moved and how he was a lion... god I was such a furry when I was little... did anyone else (when they were little) used to play dressups with their friends, and always wear the same fake-fur coat, so they could pretend to be different animals? >.> maybe is just me lol....

I would have to say mine was Ariel from the Little Mermaid. That chick is still hot IMO.

when I was like 7, I decided to make up an imaginary friend. I decided that it should be a girl, and since it was the only girl who ever hung out with me, I quickly developed a crush. We largely broke up when school started back up in the fall, since I had to deal with real people all the time.

We met up once when I was 12 and had really awkward sex. That was the last time I saw her. I don't even remember her name anymore.
honestly, if the joker wanted me to get banned from this website, i would. he is the epitome of human accomplishment. i love him.

Oh man, I loved Tails!  I mean, I didn't have a crush on him, but he was my favorite character! :) Sonic was okay, but he pissed me off sometimes with his attitude.  "Look at me!  I'm so cool!  Gotta buzz, cuz!"  The only thing was, Tails could be a bit of an idiot in doing things that anyone else would know was a bad idea...but hey, I guess they needed somebody to fail for all those "Sonic Says" segments.

I think a lot of people had crushes on non-human characters when they were little.  Most times they weren't sexual, but even if they were, most kids aren't aware of the "species taboo."

Speaking of Sonic, I also liked Scratch.  Makes sense, since he was a giant robotic chicken.  And Grounder, because he was stupid...Heck, I liked them all!  It was a great series.

Haha...snog :3.

Anyway, I cant think of any characters I had a crush on. I Remember really liking the Redwall serious as a youngster, and would imagine myself having adventures with the characters from those books. Unfortunately I cant recall any female characters that stuck in my mind. Those books really focused on the male leads and didnt develop other sexed characters much at all. Other then the Badger Constables, but they didnt sound particularly hawt :3
