I am really interested in what everyone thinks of dreams. Do you think that predict events? Are the just our deepest desires? What do you think?

Personally I think dreams are quite important. ;D I see dreams as a sign of future event(s) and/or things you might/are dealing with.

I don’t get many dreams as I used to; however, when I do have them, I try to figure out its meaning. Sadly I am not gifted with dream reading so there are some dreams I just don’t understand. :-\ Yes, I do believe folks can be gifted to read dreams. One could say anyone can become a dream reader if they take psychology courses. But there are many things that science has not learned about the mind as of now.

Dreams,
Dreams for me are many things.
When I am understress my mind uses that time to help me relieve stress through dreams, and I end up with really weird dreams.
I also have what some would call Day dreams. Though with me they are more visions. I zone out completely and continue working, so most people don’t even notice that I am not there. I don’t even notice that I am gone till I come back. These are were I see well…visions. Of many things from the future, to idea’s, to thoughts, to what ever, but these always have some relivense to me and those around me.
When I am not understress my dreams act as a way for “God” to speak to me, show me, and teach me. Or some times I teach, speak, and show myself stuff. For my me dreams are a gate way to what I can’t see when I am awake.
Then there are the dreams that are…well simply dreams. Like dreams were I am flying through lava killing lava resialant zombies with a rubber chicken endowed with the power to shot spinach out of its wings.
Dreams are like every day life. Some times they are relivent some times they are not.
Glad to be of Service.

I hope dreams don't predict the future...because last night I had a dream that the universe was going to end sometime between three and four o'clock!  It was scary!

I'm not afraid the universe is going to end now.  I know where I got it, too--it's from a book I recently finished reading, Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse Five," in which the main character gets abducted by aliens who tell them one of their kind is going to destroy the universe.

Darn I missed it. I had set my alarm clock and everything to wake up so that I could see the end of the universe. Oh well will have to catch it the next time around.

I have such disturbing and vivid dreams. Maybe someday I can write them down and share them with everyone.

They say that dreams are the key to who a person really is.

My dreams are so precise when I wake up I can't tell if I'm dreaming or in reality. However in some situations they are a sign of events to come. And I have an example.

When I was 12 I had joined a singing/dancing troupe taught by my aunt called "Sunshine Generation" and we performed in many places. One night before a performance I had a very strange dream. My cousin Melissa was skipping through the parking lot after a show, and got crushed by a car. Melissa was 5 at this point. I awoke and thought little of the dream. Just butterflies for the performance. We did a show at an elderly folk's home, and afterwards we had lunch. Then all of us wandered out to the vans chatting. And Melissa was just skipping along. I dropped the speaker I was carrying and sprinted past everyone and yanked melissa off her feet... as a car backed over the heel of my shoe. My aunt Ronnie went ballistic, since that bastard wasn't watching anything, but Melissa was fine. This has happened to me numerous times.

Just because your dream is an event to come, or it might not be, however it does not mean you cannot change them.

Dreams ... which i hardly ever remember ... sniff ...  i think are simply a way for our minds to unwind and have some fun.  Do they predict things to come - who knows.  But for me none of my dreams have ever come true...well at least not to the exactness that you would need to predict the future.

Some of my dreams have been entertaining - like watching a movie - some have been to real (some sad moments there).

Dream = minds playground of weird and wonder...
