If I wanted to deal with Jesus Camp I'd have joined Bush's military. I dunno if I'll even be able to stomache those retarded vids.

Thanks for equating Bush's 'military' with that of Jesus Camp, Eternimus. We all are a bunch of zealous Christ fanatics ready to put you to the flames, auto da-fe marrano.

Ask the average soldier; we don't like Bush, and we certainly don't work for him.

Is he not your Chief commander?

I know plenty of soldiers, Zev. Hell, I have 4 family members right now that are in the current military. And many more that are retired. It's not the soldiers I blame. They just do what they're told. It's the commanders, specifically the Commander-in-Chief and the goons that lie for him. If Bush had his way, there would be no more separation of church and state, and it'll only be a Christian church. Gratefully he's gone soon. But with the snipers using other holy books as target practice, and infantrymen handing out Jesus coins at checkpoints to spread the word of God to other religious areas, it doesn't do a lot for the image of the "average soldier" now does it? All it does is piss off the world. Granted, things like that have happened in the past, but not near as often as now, and it sure didn't get spread everywhere that Americans are Christian Fanatics with no religious tolerance. And certainly not in the middle of a war zone where way too many of the soldiers have died and are still dying. You want to serve your country and join the military, go for it. But keep your damn religion at home. That's all I'm saying. I don't know you so I can't say wether or not you are a religious zealot. It's obvious you don't like the president so most likely not. But there are plenty that are, and those bad apples make the rest of you look bad.

I'll just be glad when George 'Is Our Children Learning?" Bush is gone and forgotten.

I agree 100% with you Eternimus, in keeping one's faith at heart, and only offering to discuss it when prompted. I remember being asked if I wanted to take part in Baptist Services at Grafenwohr, and declining because of my Jewish background. I wasnt looked down upon, and everyone's honor remained intact.

You're right about bad apples. There is no golden standard in the military because its made up of so many different people from myriad backgrounds, upbringings, etc. Unfortunately, when an idiot like Moradi does something stupid (He was that slimebag Marine who threw a dog a cliff.) we all reek of sh**, no matter how many condemn, or what reprimand is taken.

They say you can't support the troops without supporting Bush...I'm glad we're here to prove them wrong..
