Student arrested for making a map of his school



A Chinese student was removed from Clements High School in Fort Bend, Texas after parents complained he had re-created the school grounds in a game and uploaded the map for his friends to play. The boy was placed in the district’s alternate education school and later arrested, as the police considered him a “terroristic threat”.

    “They arrested him, Chen said of FBISD police, and also went to the house to search”.The Lin family consented to the search, and a hammer was found in the boy’s room, which he used to fix his bed, because it wasn’t in good shape, Chen said. He indicated police seized the hammer as a potential weapon.

The Chinese community and the boy’s mother have rallied behind him, saying the school has acted too harshly in the wake of the Virginia Tech shootings. No charges were filed, though the boy won’t be allowed to participate in graduation ceremonies.

Haha, in college me and a friend made a Battlefield 1942 map of UAF. Fortunately this was before the big school shootings and it was always buggy for some reason so never got very far.

But still, all of us were thinking of it as a totally innnocent project at the time, but nowadays, we'd be totally worried about it.

I mapped out the District Attorney's Office when I worked there. No one said sh** to me. I've mapped out high schools as well. Once again, nothing. I think it's just the people who try so hard to be safe they actually make life UNSAFE for those around em that panic.

Ya k now we should build one for all the malls in town. A UT04 map would be fun. Or a Jedi Outcast.
