Ooooh....you like sunset-over-the-ocean pics??  I share!  I share!

This is a heavily downsampled version of the image.  If you want the full-size, let me know and I'll e-mail it to ya.  It's HUUUUUUUUUGE!  I'm talkin' 6 images taken by a high-end 6 megapixel digital camera and then painstakingly stitched together with software.

So...yeah, that's the extent of my photography skillz.  Not much compared to your pics, but there you have it.

My Photoshop artwork is much more impressive: linked to avoid shattering the site tables.

Easy to get there.  Get on Northern Lights Boulevard heading west and just keep going.  Eventually it'll curve around and head south out behind Anchorage International Airport.  Point Woronzoff is basically at the end of one of the runways, you'll see it on your right as you head south.

Heh, glad you like it.  I waited 2 hours to get that shot.  I knew it was coming, I just had to wait and watch.

ROFL we didn't have a kid back then!  I could afford to just stand or sit around for a couple hours with my buddy's four thousand dollar digital camera waiting for the perfect shot to line up.  Not quite so easy any more.  I wind up with shots that look like this now:

And Yea That's how it works you know the shot its coming you just have to be patent and wait. ANDThanks :) that's my youngest baby  ;) who ever says dogs don't have personalities never met my "children"! :D They are a hand full. When I got home they were waiting by the door even though there were two other ppl here, and Clyde (boxer-pit & the oldest) decided he did not want anyone else but me to take him out....SO he peed in front of the door while I went to the little girls room... Its the first time hes ever been in trouble and it broke my heart..But at least it was in front of the door and not on the carpet...

And last but not least....the hubbs

Bwuh?!  I've never heard anyone accuse dogs of having no personalities.  I dunno, maybe "cat people" do that.  Personally, I'm not a dog person or a cat person, I'm an animal person.  I like all different animals, as long as they're not abused into being mean.

As far as not having a personality goes...I know better than that anyway: all mammals have personalities that we, as fellow mammals, can recognize.  Scientist types like to call this "anthropomorphizing," but really it's a manifestation of the animal side of us homo-sapiens recognizing similar traits from ourselves in other animals.  It's easier for us to do with mammals because we happen to be hangin' from a branch on that same genetic tree.  Amphibians, reptiles, and insects?  Not so easy for us to see recognizable personalities in those critters.

What I hear most often, us is how cats are aloof and personality-less.  Know what I say to that?
