I personally don't really care for beer, more of a wine drinker.. But every once in a while I like to have one. I expecailly like unique flavors, berry flavors are awesome. !!

I don't let people get away with saying this unless they've tried at least fifteen different beer styles.  Bud, Miller, Coors, and Corona don't count.

...sigh.  Kritter has tried what?  All of like two or three of the different kinds of beer that I can make?  Even still, she's open-minded enough to at least try some before snubbing it.  She's even gone so far as to admit that she'd probably like a hefeweizen if I made one.

Look, the way I figure it is this: There are more than a hundred officially recognized (and three times that when you consider regional and extinct styles that aren't officially recognized) styles of beer out there.  With that many different kinds of malt-and-hops beverages to choose from, nobody should be allowed to deadpan an "I don't like beer" claim.  Doing so only marks you as being a closed-minded individual.  Even worse: if you say something like that and then go on to add that you prefer wine, you just flagged yourself as a wine snob.

That's like somebody biting into a bad hot dog one time and then using that experience as an excuse to say "I don't like sausage."  If you've only ever tried the one hot dog, then how do you know you won't like bratwurst, polska kielbasa, pepperoni, or bologna?
