Group Story 1.0
« on: 2007, March 24, 01:18:36 pm »
It was a large planet—very much like Earth, although slightly larger.  It had been found abandoned, or perhaps destroyed, by whatever race had lived there.

No photographs of the previous race existed, although paintings and artifacts seemed to suggest they were human-shaped.  Indeed, the most famous painting, that of a woman reclining luxuriously on a hammock, revealed that there was little difference in appearance.  Thus, most experts agreed that this planet had been inhabited by humans.  The question was when, and how, since this planet was in an entirely different galaxy than Earth.  And what explained the diversity between the ruins existing on this planet, so similar to those on Earth?

Somewhere on this planet existed an ancient tome, filled with chronicles that would explain everything.  It lurked deep within some unnamed ruins, possibly protected by a guardian beast, and surrounded by an otherwordly aura of holy mystery.  It was written in an ancient language, not a word of it spoken for millions of years.

The book itself, although covered in dust, seemed to glow with an ethereal light.  The statues around it glimmered, the light particles reflecting off their jewel-like eyes.  For millenia they had remained silent, staring at the ancient chronicles, watching the light radiate from the tome.  The day would come, they knew, when the knowledge would be discovered…and what would happen then?

***

Dave opened his eyes.  He had been dreaming, he knew, but aside from that…He sat up and rubbed his eyes, irritated that he couldn’t remember the details of his dream.

Dave was an archaeologist.  He had come to Aikia in the hopes of finding out more about the ancient peoples that had lived there.  Several countries from Earth had already begun living here, the first being the Japanese in 2008 AD.  The man who discovered it, Aikawa Kiyohiko had named it after himself and his American wife, Alice.  Now, 250,000 years later—1 EY (the first year of Era Y)—Dave was determined to be the one to find the true story behind the previous race.

Aikawa had been a peaceful man.  Upon learning that Aikia was capable of sustaining human life, he decided a party of explorers should be put together to learn more about this new planet.  But who?  With encouragement from Alice, he had returned to Earth in order to request that Aikia be used as a haven for those who had lost their homes to war.  All at once, controversy rose up among the superpowers in the world, each country wanting to colonize the planet and reap their own personal benefits.  Although men and women from various countries—several from the United States--had contributed to the discovery and agreed with Aikawa’s idea, they were shafted by their respective governments in favor of colonization.  Poor Aikawa lost all power in the project and was left only with the honor of having the planet named after himself and Alice.

***

I actually might take this beginning and write a story by myself later. :p I quite like it.

“Good Morning Dave” an eerily recognizable sound echoed through his room. “Would you like to play a game?”
Dave sighed a bit, and rolled over and shook his head at his cat, with a sign of annoyance, and mild humor going across his face. “Ya know when dared you to wake me up like that every morning till the end of time, I wasn’t serious. And what does that mean anyway? Who would want to play a game first thing in the morning?” Dave asked the cat.

The cat that Dave speaks of is not of a typical breed. It is only a small cat, of house size variety. Though, a very elegant and graceful cat with a sense of humor and wit, that only living a few centuries could anybody develop. It’s colors were simple yet distinguished. Short fur, of the striped kind along its legs, tail, and head, along its body were the rosette spots of a bangle cat. A smaller version, a fluke of nature tossed out of a 200 century old breading program. Tossed so far out that he fell out of time and ended up in Dave’s bed room 10 years ago, neither of them knowing how the other got there. Since that day though the Cat has woke Dave up in exactly the same way he did when he first meet him. Though sadly the original meaning of the Joke that old is completely lost on Dave.

“Because I can” The cat replied in with a cocky grin sliding over his face as he stared wide eyed into Dave’s. “I am hungry and have no aposeably thumbs to get my food, would you be so kind as to stop starving me and making me wait till 8am to feed me. We have places to go today, and you know I can’t operate with out eating. Oh and fix my tea while your up.”

Dave rolled out of bed, slamming on to the floor with a loud thud. And headed for the shower with the Cat following close behind nagging at him as he had for years until he got his food. It had been a routine they had come accustom to.

By the time they had got to the table and were eating there breakfast the Cat was happy and content.
“Ya know cat, it’s about time I give you a name.” Dave mentioned as he was aristocratically eating his bagel.
“Oh” The cat said as he looked up from his bowl of imitation tuna.
“I have given this much though and because everyone else can only hear you “Meow” aside from me who for some reason can hear you speak, and see you do all those other weird things. That still boggle, even my mind.”
“It’s a choice thing the cat replied, I don’t trust anyone else. And besides I was never given a name. Why now?”
“Because it’s fun. I think I shall call you Mr. Meow”
The cat scoffed and went back to his food.
“We will see he murmured to him self. We will see.”

With an evil snicker that cat went back about his meal. Plotting about plots about plots, as cats tend to do. Being as old as he is though he mind tended to wonder at times.
“Mr. Meow,” the cat thought to him self “It carries a nice ring to it. I think I will have to use it for a while”
The cat sat and dwelled on that while eating, and plotting, being able to think of many things at once was a gift of his, one of many…
“Shall we Mr. Meow?” Dave asked the cat, using the new name as a way of getting his attention.
“Shall we what?” Mr. Meow snapped back, as he was still in the middle of his breakfast and hated to be disturbed. “You expect me to head out on a day like this? The sun is out, shining bright, and there is not a cloud in the air.”
“Yesh, Yesh I do.” Dave insisted “besides we are going to meet a new friend of mine. He seems a quite interesting fellow, and a unique individual not unlike yourself.”
Filled with curiousity Mr. Meow jumped off the table, and in two fluid jumps, went from the table to the floor, then up on Dave’s shoulders.
“Well then why didn’t you say so? Lets be off, stop dilly dalling, I don’t want to wait around here all day ya know.”
Dave just shook his head and headed out the door. Mr. Meow reached into Dave’s pocket and handed him the door key, “Don’t ya think you better lock the door?” he asked “And did you bring my glasses you know I can’t see with out them.”
With a sigh of repetition, and humor Dave locked the door and gave the cat his glasses, and headed on there way.
Though it did look weird a cat with glasses riding on she shoulder of a man, no one ever thought much of it, as it had been going on for ten years now, that people of the neiborhood had just grown accustom to it.
OHH LOOK! Its Sonic....Can I have his autograph!?

“STOP!” Shouted a man who was running up behind them.
Dave and Mr. Meow turned and looked with a jump in there step, wondering who was yelling at them. For you see yelling in public was a sign of great disrespect on this planet, the only people who did it were out siders.
The man ran up to them and stoped about 5 paces from them. “Are you the one they call Dave?” he asked.
“Yes?” Dave curioustly responded.
Mr. Meow was observing the man, noticing that he wearing a cloak, and had the hood pulled over his head, and in the light they were in you could not see his face…The cat thought this was rather odd but sensed no imeadite danger from this man. But he kept he awares sharp looking for more clues to who he might be.
“And that cat of yours…it talks correct?”
Dave Glanced up at Mr. Meow, who nodded back at Dave. “Yes” Dave responded, trusting the judgement of his companion. “He does, but what is it to you?”
“I can’t tell you here.” The man said as he looked around at the people starting to gather from his yelling. “We have to go some were private to speak. Do you know of a place?”
“I do why don’t we go down by the rive….” Dave was abruptly cut off by the Cat on his shoulders.
“We were actually going to meet up with some one. Why don’t you come with us? I think it would be in your best interest considering.”
Dave was quite annoyed at Mr. Meow for doing this, but he knew that Mr. Meow didn’t speak much in public unless he had reason, and so accepted it for now, but would want an explanation at when time permited.
“Alright…” The gentleman was a bit put off by the cat speaking, but agreed.
As they hurried down the road towards there destination the cat noticed what looked like a tail sticking out of the persons cloak from time to time. Thinking to him self…”I wonder…na…it’s been centuries since I have ran across…na…not in the life time…mmm” As visions of past memories went through the cats mind, memories of the day of the sword, and magic…

“Were here” Dave said as he entered the a run down house.
“Ya know you really should learn to knock” The cat whispered in Dave’s ear.
“Oh hush up” Dave jokingly snaped back.

The three of them entered the house, only to see…..

AUTHOR'S NOTE: "Perie" is pronounced "Perry" and the "i" in Glina's name is pronounced "ee."

-----

“It’s not realistic!”

Glina threw her brand-new Scroll DX down on the floor, making Perie cringe.  The casing was unbreakable—at least by normal means—but he still worried.

“Glina—”

“Why?  Why is it the—”

“Glina, we have visitors.”

The frustrated brunette abruptly ended her monologue, turning around to face her guests.  “Oh, I’m terribly sorry.  Welcome.  Is there something we can help you with?”

The man at the door nodded and motioned to the cat on his shoulder, as well as the man next to him.  “Is Mr. Perie Denoumont home?”

“That would be me.”  Perie stepped forward, placing his hands on his wife’s shoulders.  “What…Dave, is that you?”  He grinned when Dave nodded his head, gesturing with one hand to come in.  “My friend, it’s been so long.”  He hugged Glina with his free arm.  “I haven’t introduced you to my wife yet.”

“Perie…”  Glina looked nervously at the cat, who had jumped down from Dave’s shoulder and was now wiping his paws on the carpet.

“Oh…”  Perie looked dubiously at the feline, then looked back up at Dave.  “Could you leave your…pet outside?  I’m terribly sorry, but Glina…she can’t handle cats.”

“I see,” said the cloaked figure, speaking up for the first time.  “Allergies, or simply deathly afraid?”

“I don’t like them,” snapped the woman, her demure façade fading once again.  “Nasty, ferocious little things.”

“Glina, please.”  Perie shushed his wife and extended his hand to the cloaked man.  “Pleased to meet you.  Are you a friend of Dave’s?”

Dave opened the door and shooed the cat outside. “You behave yourself until I am done here. You go that?” he gave he cat a stern glare as he said this.

Outside Mr. Meow growled about how cruel humans can be and flicked his tail in annoyance. "Humph, maybe I should have given that woman a piece of my mind! Show her how nasty I can really be..." he said to himself.

Mr. Meow's ears pricked at the sound of some thing approaching. He quickly got on all fours and arched his back. With ears pinned flat to his head he was prepared to attack. A little girl, about five years of age stumbled towards the startled cat.

"Oh. Are you lost like me?" she said as she held out her hand to the now confused cat. Mr, Meow knew that the child was not a threat. He trotted up to her and sniffed her hand. The little girl giggled and lifted the cat to her chest. She held him close and stroked the top of his head. “They're going to come back soon... Will you come with me?” the little asked the cat.

“I don't know if I should, who is coming?” Mr. Meow knew that the child could understand him whether he spoke or not.

“They say that I hafta help them find a man. He knows where a big book is kept.” the little girl continued to stroke the cat as she told him her story. “If I help them find him him, I get to see my mommy.”

“I see.” Mr. Meow said as he wriggled out of the little girls arms. “Alright, I'll go with you, but first...” Mr. Meow began to scratch at the ground and pushed dirt around with his muzzle. “There, now, let's go!” Mr. Meow had drawn a big arrow in the dirt, he knew that Dave would understand.  Mr. Meow then led Nadia to safe place.

----

Cybil O'Connor was the woman responsible for kidnapping the little girl. She was losing her patience with her accomplice, Aden. “Where is Nadia?” she asked sharply.

“I took my eyes off of her for a second and she was just gone!” Aden tried to explain why he had returned without the little girl.

Cybil was obsessed with finding an ancient book. The stories that had been told for generations had captivated her and she had given up everything to try to find it. The child was important because children have keener senses and a stronger sense of empathy. If anyone could find this mysterious man the knew of the tome, it was Nadia.

“We can either search for her or find a new child.” Cybil thought to herself. It was difficult to find children in this area, there were not many families. “We'll search for her.” Cybil decided.

“Dave” Mr. Perie spoke while brewing some tea. “Are you still after that book? Still determined to find something that does not exist, a rumor, fairy tale, that is told to children to keep there hopes up.

“Yes, Yes I am” Dave said as he accepted a cup from Mr. Perie.

“And what of your friend here?”

“Well I don’t know yet. You see I have just met him recently”

The cloaked man stepped forward, and sat at the table that Mr. Perie and Dave were sitting at. Mr. Perie offered him a cup of tea as well, but he declined. As he sat down, he began to remove his cloak, and gloves. Starting with the gloves, as he pulled them off Dave’s eyes widened with Shock, and excitement, Mr. Perie slid he chair back in fright. They were not hands under his gloves but red paws, and as he pulled his cloak hood back, they could see a fur covered face, red, with a black snout, and black tipped ears, that looked almost k9.

“I am from an old race, a race not of this world. We are watchers of a sort, and normally like to keep to ourselves.

“You are Kitsune aren’t you? Your race does not give each other names, and has not been seen for centuries” Dave interrupted in excitement as he started to pull from his memory, excited to finally meet a Kitsune after studying there culture in ruins of other planets.

“Yes I am”

Mr. Perie was still a bit uneasy but watched and listed carefully, as the two conversed for a moment.

“You are here because of that annoying cat of Dave’s aren’t you?” Mr. Perie asked.

“No” The creature paused for a sec thinking about old times…”not this time. I am here because of Dave. He is close to what he is looking for, and is about to travel down a dangerous path. I was sent here to protect him. He is needed and can not pass on before his time.”

“I see, well then, it is good that you are here then.” Mr. Perie turned and looked at Dave for a moment before speaking in a direct tone, and with all seriousness” Dave, what I am about to tell you, must not leave this room. “Dave nodded” The book exists, and can be found, but only by one person. You are not that person, but I can tell you were to find them. You see my wife had a dream were you found a young girl hiding in a tree with a cat. They were reading the book you seek. I believe that this girl is the one you should find. I don’t know how though but you must, the aura of death was coming up close around this tree, the girl was crying holding the cat, begging him to fix what she was too late to do.”

Before Mr. Perie could speak more the Kitsune’s ear twitched and he interrupted him. “We Must Go Now!” He said. But it was too late, just then there was a loud explosion that came from outside. Blowing out the window’s of the house they were in…

“Damn!  Everyone get down!” Perie shouted, pulling his wife down with him.

Instead of crouching with the others, however, the Kitsune bolted for the door.

“What are you doing?” Dave demanded.  “Do you want to get killed?”

The Kitsune turned around and looked solemnly into Dave’s eyes.  “That feline friend of yours…I’ve grown rather fond of him.  I must see if he is all right and tend to his wounds, if necessary.”

“You cannot!” Glina cried.  “Are you a madman?”

The Kitsune looked at her and smiled.  “My dear lady,” he said, “I am not a man.  I am a Kitsune.”

Glina’s mouth fell open, and her stubborn expression changed to one of mild surprise.  Only Perie, who lay next to her, could see the tinge of guilt in her eyes.

***

Fortunately for the Kitsune, the explosion had left behind more smoke than fire.  Even so, he had to be careful, for one could die from inhaling too much smoke.

“Mr. Meow?” he croaked as loud as he could.  “Mr. Meow, if you are there—”  He stopped, his ears twitching ever so slightly.  Was that a child’s voice he heard?  Yes—he was certain of it.  It sounded like the cry of a human child, a female, probably.

The Kitsune chased after the sound of the child. Knowing that if there was a crying child Mr. Meow would have went to investigate, and also wanting to check on the child himself, hoping the explosion had not harmed the innocent.

Mr. Meow’s ears perked, and he smiled at the child.

“He is coming.” She said as she noticed the cat’s thoughts.

“They are here.” Mr. Meow thought to him self, knowing the girl would understand.

Just than Dave and the Kitsune ran around the corner to see Mr. Meow being cratled in the crying girls arms. She looked up with a smile, and wiped her tears away.

“The cat says that you guys will help me.”

“That we will. But who are you hun, and how did you get to be here?” Dave spoke as he picked her up and checked to make sure she was ok.

“I was…”

The girl was cut off by a voice.

“That girl is mine, give her back and no harm will come to you.” A tall reptilian spoke, while moving toward the group. “You must give her back to me”

“Dave don’t let him have her” Mr. Meow told him in a very stern voice.

Dave knew to listen when the feline spoke.

“Who are you?” Dave asked the reptilian.

“I am Aden, personal servant to Lady Cybil. And she wants that child back now.”

Dave glance around as Aden was talking and bosting. “Were did that Kitsune go?” He wondered as he was plotting out an escape rout. “There is no way I can take this guy by my self, and my cat friend here is just about useless in this situation”

“I am going to take the girl now, and for your heath I would step away” Aden warned in a hissing tone.

Just as Aden lunged in to take the girl Dave grabbed her and rolled out of the way. Mr. Meow jumped up on the Aden’s back and sank his claws deep into the back of his neck. The Reptile screamed out in agony and started swatting at the cat to get him off. This distraction gave Dave time to grab the girl and run.

Dave ran off with the girl heading to the near by forest, hoping to find cover in there, and hoping that Mr. Meow was doing ok.

“This is turning into quite a eventful day” Dave said, trying to vent out some of the excitement of what has been going on.

Right as the reptile when to throw himself back first into a wall to squish the cat, Mr. Meow, in a almost erie fashion, moved out from behind the beast, and appeared in front of him. “Thanks for the entertainment” he said as he jumped off the ground and hit Aden in the chest, add off disappearing into the grass, heading towards Dave.

The Kitsune was still near the Reptile, just hiding in the shadows watching, impressed by Mr. Meow’s tactic’s. “That cat…One of these days…” he thought to him self as he jumped down and finished the kick started by the cat, and nailing the Aden to the wall. It all happened at such quick fluid speed, that you could bearly make out the movement unless you had well trained eyes. But to most it looked like the cat kicked off the creatures chest right as the Kitsune appeared and finished the job. All as if it was planed out.

“SPEAK CREATURE!” The Kitsune snarled at the Aden, as he lifted him up along the wall.

"Speak of what?" replied the Aden, feining stupidity.

"You know exactly what I wish you to speak of." Came the Kitsune's answer.

During the questioning Mr. Meow had made it to where Dave had fled to with the girl.

"Who are you and what did that thing want with you little one?" Asked Dave.

"And how did you get here?" Added Mr. Meow.

"My name is Lulu and as he said the Aden is  a personal servant to Lady Cybil. As for how I got here..."

"Wait a minute..." Said Dave " Who is Lady Cybil? Answer that then let us know how it is you got here."

"You should be honored i have given my name to you, kin of Zeevim' Aden spoke, his words thick with malevolent intent, his scaly hands slowly reaching for the large, wickedly crooked blade hilted at his waist. The Kitsune smiled, does this creature, the cursed of Cybil's minions, expect to win this duel.

"I am honored, and yet disgusted by your foul stench, lizard, I'd have rather taken my chances waxing poetic with a rock."

Aden's eyes bulged, and green saliva dripped from his maw as he rushed forward, brandishing his sword, its ichorous taint shining in the sun. "DIE" he hissed, moving in low and thrusting his blade forward, confident in his training and feral intent.

'Wha-?' he cried, for the Kitsune, a creature of fey magic, had vanished, and his evil blade struck nothing but smoke and dust. He sniffed the air for a moment, and felt the air behind him whisk.

"looking for me?" the Kitsune laughed, and in a flash, disarmed the reptilian mercenary. Aden stepped backwards, dumbfounded. He, an elite of Cybil, had been disarmed, such was what passed for honor, now wallowed in disgrace.

"You are unarmed, and therefore not worth my time." The Kitsune spoke, his words like those of of an ancient and enigmatic thunder god, driving home a stake of reason into the lizard's thick skull.

The Kitsune felt a presence, much like that he once encountered millenium ago, betrayal, avarice, pure unconditional hatred...

"If he wont hold your interest, Kitsune, perhaps I shall...." Twas Bvorj, a craven wolf of old, who now stood between the Kitsune and his dishonored foe Aden.

The wolf in a blinding zephyr, decapitated the lizard, his blade showing not a inkling of Aden's foul blood.

Your friends, and that annoying little vrughuan, will not succeed. Contingencies on my part have insured that. In moments, they will all be dead, and if my calculations are correct, as will you, son of Morenu."

The Kitsune smiled and shook his head, sheathing his blade and crossing his arms, weighing his body on one leg, as in jest. "Ah Bvorj, kinslayer and rape mongerer of Dallia'Khun, you stood shamed by me 3000 years before, and now....you stand ready to be shamed?"

The White wolf snickered, his maw lifting to show gleaming white fangs... "then you've nothing to lose, come at me..."

“Your right I don’t, another time perhaps.” The Kitsune spoke softly, regretting not having the time to put this creature back in its place.

The Kitsune’ stepped back into the shadows, right as Twas Bvorji threw a knife at him. All that was herd was a THUNK, and the blade dropping to the ground. When Twas ran over to look, there was his knife on the ground, with a note that read. “Another time my apprentice”

Dave and Mr. Meow sat with the girl in the safety of the forest, talking back and forth. Trying to figure out what had transpired.

Lulu Nadia spoke up “Lady Cybil is a sorceress, and she believe that I hold the key to what she is seeking….Sadly I have no idea what it is”

Dave wondered if it had anything to do with what he was looking for and what Perie had told him.

“Though you guys are in danger, because any were I go, she tends to follow near by. Please ……

She was cut off as a cold chill crept over the area. No one could move. All that could be felt was cold, and darkness.

A lady of fine beauty, and grace walked though the tree’s and right past Mr. Meow. Reaching down to pet him, grinning at him. Almost as if she was trying to tell him something. Mr. Meow, felt his heart plummet as images of years long past ran through his head, images of the Program. A secret order that had long be extinct, on that he thought he had ride him self from ages ago.

All Dave could do was watch this sweet angle in the darkness walk past them, and up to Lulu.

“There you are my child” The lady spoke, and leaned down and wrapped her arms around the girl. “We are going to go home now, say good by to your friends.”

And as if in a trance, and full welcoming of the lady, Lulu stood up with her, and walked past Dave and Mr. Meow, Kissing Dave on the forehead, and reaching down and petting Mr. Meow in the exact fashion the Lady did. They walked off into the forest, till they vanished from site.

After a few moments past the warmth of the forest came back and Dave and Mr. Meow were able to move again, but they just simply passed out from there bodies and spirits being demised that much.
Glad to be of Service.

A while later upon recovering Dave and Mr. Meow had wandered back home. Dave sat wondering aloud what could be done in the future to ensure that they didn't freeze like that again.

"I will find that girl and get her away from there! We must be able to counteract the effect Lady Cybil has. There must be a way! There just must! If we were to freeze up like that again we'd be done for, for sure." he kept ranting and raving...

Mr Meow just watched as he vented for a bit. There was no sence in interrupting Dave when he got like this. He'd not even hear you. While he was waiting for Dave to calm down the Kitsune finally made its way back.

"Where has your mangy hide been?" Inquired Mr. Meow.

"Finishing off your opponent and dealing with the one that came after him." Retorted the Kitsune.

"Stop it both of you!" yelled Dave. "Now do either of you have a solution as to how we might manage to get close to Lady Cybil and not be affected by her magic?"

"There is one way but it involved an expedition into the highest point of the mountain that is still able to grow flora. Do you still want to go?" came the reply from Mr. Meow.

"You need a special herbal blend." replied the Kitsune.

"Of course I want to go." answered Dave. "We simply must save that girl. Lulu. So young. So innocent. We simply can't leave her under Lady Cybil's control."

"Whats in this herbal blend of yours Kitsune?" asked Dave.

"Are you sure you want to know?" the Kitsune quized.

"Of Course, or I wouldn't have asked." Answered Dave.

"Well the first and most important ingredient is the Bloodblossom flower from the Bloodblossom tree way up on Mt. Shyamoto." the Kitsune said then grinned proudly.

"That far away? And from that plant?" Dave asked looking sick.

Dave was afraid of heights and he hated the Bloodblossom tree. The Bloodblossom tree when in bloom is a beautiful red sunset colored flower that has the sweet coppery smell of fresh blood. Too bad for Dave the tree was in full bloom.

Swallowing his fear down as fate Dave resigned and asked, "Ok so what else is needed?"

"The rest is simple ingredients easily found around town in the market." Mr. Meow answered. "For example you will need teaberries, cocoa beans and sandelwood as well."

"You do need the Bloodblossom flower first however so that it may dry properly" added the Kitsune.

"Dry properly?" asked Dave.

"Yes. You need to have all of the ingredients totally dry before you can begin. After you gather and dry the required ingredients you need to grind them one at a time in a mortar and pestle. Once they have each been ground up individually you need to gently combine them with your fingers. Then you need to place the blend into a silk cloth and tie the ends together so that none of the ingredients can fall out and add a string long enough to be a necklace." explained Mr. Meow.

Not only was Dave a seasoned archaeologist, but a devout student to Aikia herbology, and hearing that their concotion required leaves from the Bloodblossom drove a stake of unfettered fear into his timid heart.

The bloodblossum was capable of releasing a aromatic toxin in the air to deter potential predators that would dine on its delicious fruit and herbal leaves. those who inhaled the toxin would grow drousy, and slip into a fatal sleep from which recovery was all but unheard of.

"I know what you're thinking, Dave but fear not, my magic will protect us against the Bloodblossum." The Kitsune remarked, stretching as if terribly bored by Dave's primal fears. Mr Meow simply cocked his head. "so Dave, are you game?"

Dave scratched his head and laughed weakly, "Of course! saving Lulu from that Cybil is imperative....by the way, Kitsune, what happend back there? What became of that lizard monster?'

The Kitsune barked under his breath and 'tched', throwing back his long golden hair "Nothing more than a insect..."

"what of that shaggy bloke? the white one?" Mr Meow quiped curiously.

"that's  my business, if he appears again, let me deal with him..."

Dave turned his attention, "we've got plenty of cocoa, being a scientist is almost essential..." he laughed weakly again, and Mr Meow sighed, another futile attempt at a bad joke...

*note* the bloodblossom ingredient originally mentioned was a flower not a leaf. please fully read the posts before yours prior to posting your own post.
thank you *end note*

"Teaberry and sandlewood?" Inquired Mr. Meow "Do we have any of these?"

"Ummm..."Dave rummaged around in the cabinets... "Apparently not. But I could have sworn."

"No matter." Mr. Meow replied. "Easy enough to get at market."
