What are you doing for Halloween?
« on: 2008, October 07, 10:04:49 pm »
I ask because I was wondering if anyone wanted to go out.  See, Halloween falls on a Friday this year, and I don't have class on Friday, but I still want to show off my costume.  And I don't just mean sitting around at someone's house watching TV--I want to go OUT.

I'm not really picky about where we go, either.

Actually, it's unsurprising considering you're its youngest (mentally) member....

Crap, I need a costume.  And no ideas go through my head that wouldn't take every minute of my free time for a month to make.  Damn me and my mad procrastination skills.

I won't be going out that evening. Infact, I'll be enjoying my time at home. I might even buy a bag of candy for the kids. Who knows though because the kids will be getting enough of those cavity treats from other people. XD LMAO!!!!!

They live in Mountain View, Rachael.  You know, the low-income district?  One thing that can be said about the low-income families over in that neighborhood: they like to have babies.

What?  It's true. ~.~

tm that is not true of all of them.  ::) look at oni's place after all lol

seriously though its a culture thing too... samoans almost always have huge families no matter where in town they live so you can't judge mt. view based on the samoan population and if you look at the rest most of them don't have many (if any) kids.

Shoot, I'm tempted to give them bags of mini carrots or slice apples. LMAO. I can see their reaction now, "WTF, where's the candy bitch!"

I'm basing my opinion on my observations of the Mountain View neighborhood over most of the last 17 years.  Hispanic, Alaska Native, and Laotians all tend to have very large families.  Out of those three, I've observed many Alaska Native families intentionally have lots of kids so that they can drink up six or eight dividends every year.  Before any of you go screaming "RACIST!" at me, remember that I married into just one such Alaska Native family.

I wouldn't call you racist for that... and i know they do. hell there's even one white family in mt view with 7 kids for that very reason. it's stupid and the kids are the ones who suffer for it in that family but ya know... i wanna bleach the gene pool but no one will let me.
