AKC Meet and Great

How would you guys feel about having a Weekly or Monthly get together? Get ourselves of the internet and meet in person. LOL. well more of us than we already have.

I assume your spelling-challenged Canuck brain meant "meet and greet?"  If so, I will simply point out once again that the only reason that Fwog and I don't already show up to your weekly gatherings is because there's nothing for our daughter to do there.  Solve that, and we'd be happy to get out of the house on Friday/Saturday/Sunday evenings.

The drive to fairbanks would be quite the chore for me, not that I'm invited.
 How many folks on this sight get together anyway?
It would seem that many are very far apart.

Starting next Friday I am thinking about holding AKC Gatherings at my place.

More or less doing away with the Youth Group and just holding meetings were everybody can come.

Being around thirty nine, I would stand out a bit to much for that gathering, without you all getting to know me otherwise and extensively beforehand, besides leaving my baby boy and his mother behind would be unkind.  Sure they could come but I would like our first meeting to be unregretful.

Oni, I think what he's saying is that he doesn't want to expose his family to a bunch of unknown people.  In view of the personalities exposed in posts on this forum, his caution is understandable.

Oh no...I didn't want to expose you all to a bunch of unknown me...

For one I prefer beginning on neutral ground at first with anyone, the local ale house or an event. 

Also my boy is four months, not quite the at the play and be nice level. 

To include the fact that I do not drive currently, and the trip would not be feasible.

And my girlfriend and mother of child...well, it would be better to have developed my own reputation alone than as a couple.  I would be ignoring scads of history to go about it any other way.

Besides with her...I'm straight, and what fun would it be to surprise her with that by a trip to Fairbanks for a pride gathering!
 
Though over the last eight years with her, I've refrained from acknowledging my sexual/chemical attractions. It's becoming very complicated when dealing with my self these days, and that's why I self-prescribe slow immersion when it comes to becoming a part of any group.
Though confidently social myself at any degree, she has wreaked havoc in the past with those I knew for many a reason that I'm just not willing to cuse or discuss now.

I live in Anchorage. LOL. So weekly AKC Gatherings would be held in Anchorage. LOL.

But, perhaps you did neglect to mention your home town during our introduction...yes.

I still do not drive, but I am sorry because of it.

But, if I were posting on a forum that discussed chainsaws I would reason that at a gathering I had better know something of chainsaws.

Your very sweet to be so patient with me on this, and in the future it would be my pleasure and honor to gather with the rest at yours.

Well I have visited Fairbanks. For a weekend even. That's were I get my judgment of the town.

Yesh, as you might type, a gathering is a gathering, and if eterm showed himself I would not think he was truly of the glbat disposition, of course.  The gathering would include those on this site who were not 'of' but support those who are, I was close minded, forgive.

glbat, can't be right, but it rolls off the tongue with a tickle!
