March 18 DEBATE: 'The State of Alaska should not be involved in the institution of marriage.'

Thursday, March 18, 7-9 p.m.
UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 307

Come hear the award-winning UAA Speech and Debate Team lay out the issues on this important topic, followed by a panel of faculty respondents and facilitated public discussion. The faculty respondents are Deborah Periman, Justice; Gale Smoke, Sociology; and Kristin Hanson, Philosophy.

This event is part of a series of debates sponsored by CAFE since 2003 to offer the Anchorage community the resources of the university as a basis for discussions of policies and issues affecting their future.
