I don't know about you guys, but listening to music is something that's a huge part of my day, just because I listen to it everywhere I go. I just had the interesting thought of asking you guys, do you have a song that really clix with you? Like it describes you pretty well or you just see it as your theme song? If your like me then you have more then one, but I'll stick 1 up here and you can either just comment on the song or put your own up here! Hell we should just name some of our favorite bands while we're at it :3

I'm not sure of my theme song xD But my current favorite song is Palladio, as performed by Escala.

My favorite bands/musicians/composers are: J.S. Bach, Escala, Within Temptation, Tarja Turunen, Lady GaGa, Arcade Fire, Yoko Kanno, Apocalyptica, Klaus Badelt, Muse, Nobuo Uematsu, Nightwish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Yo-yo Ma! Too name a few.

I don't like discussing my musical tastes often cuz people are like "that's not REAL rock" among lots of other harassment I get.  XD  But whatever, I like what I like, I don't care if it's "real" or not.

I listen to mainstream AND underground/unknown bands.  I love 'em both.

My favorite types of music are:

Dance
Rock
Pop
Screamo
Pop-Punk
Hip Hop/Rap
Techno/Trance
Oldies

AND basically everything, ever.  I have such a wide variety of tastes, I also like country and stuff (but a lot of it isn't my favorite, I just like it).

I'd list some of my favorite songs but I can't ever think of my VERY favorites off the top of my head, only my current favorites.  Which I'm too tired to type right now, I will return to this thread later.  XD

I highly doubt anybody arround here would try and call you out if somethingis 'real' rock =3. What are some of your favorite bands tho? Lemme try to make a more detailed list of bands I like to start it.

Nightwish, Avenged Sevenfold, Three Doors Down, Eminem, Sonata Arctica, 30 Seconds to Mars, My Chemical Romance, Bass Hunter, Groove Coverage, Guns N Roses, Duran Duran, AC/DC, Linkin Park, All That Remains, Thrice, Aerosmith, Red, Dragon Force, and the list goes on, since there are alot of songs I love but I just dont know the artists off the top of my head =3

It's a really interesting idea, but I don't think I'm really able to answer it.  I can't really think of my own "personal theme song" but I do tend to associate songs with certain people, more specifically with my relationship with that person.  That kinda makes sense with me though because I feel that who I am depends a lot on who I'm around (probably not a good trait, but it's true).

I can list some of my favorite music though.  It's not a very broad grouping anymore though.   Incubus, Evanescence, Three Days Grace, and a bunch of random song picks from other bands make up my preferences, in English anyways.  A lot of what I listen to frequently is in Japanese though, some Jpop, mostly Jrock, the only groups I really like a large amount of music from are Nightmare and UVERworld, everything else I listen to comes from anime or games.  My current playlist on my iPod is 7 out of 8 of the opening/ending songs from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.   Sometimes I mix in some songs from Persona 3 and Persona 4.

I listen to most anything, but my favorite are techno, dance, metal, industrial and alternative. I will get back to this topic when i have more time. i dont really have a theme song, but Hot 'n Cold is the only song that pops to mind when you say that.

lol, every Thursday I'm on www.fullmetalalchemist.com watching the new episodes as they come out, and each time they finish, I whimper and whine about how unfair it is that I have to wait another week to watch more.  I can't wait until they finish with the series, but at the same time I don't want it to end.

I stopped watching them on hulu when I found out that it's two weeks behind the official website, lol.  TWO EXTRA EPISODES! :O

Oh and I have to say that listening to mp3s of the live performances of Persona music while walking around campus is really interesting, lol.

and yea, listening to 'theme songs' while walking arround can get pretty interesting, especially if you end up listening to something like Mission Impossible and get the sudden urge to be sneaky, don't get so into it that you dive into a bush or something!

Hrr, music is a fascination for me as well. I'd be hard-pressed to pick a theme song for myself (I'll get working on that) but my overall favorite genre of music is probably tribal music, especially hand-drum + flute duets. Makes me feel like dancing, and I can't dance worth a hoot. O.o

Favorite bands are a different matter altogether - I kind of jump all over the place as far as favorites go. Here's my personal top 10 (in no specific order) as of now: Kamelot, Nightwish, White Stripes / Raconteurs, Testament, Faith and the Muse, Franz Ferdinand, The Sword, Louis Armstrong, CCR, and Therion (who'da guessed?).

Maybe some others - can't think of them off of the top of my head. Merf.
