TALKIN’ TRASH -- Anchorage PrideFest typically generates two
large dumpsters of waste during the five-hour Festival on the
Park Strip (June 23). This year the PrideFest committee hopes
to cut that amount in half by partnering with Green Star to
recycle plastic & aluminum. Green Star will provide marked
bins for collecting recyclables, but we must provide the labor
to sort and deliver recyclables to Anchorage Recycling Center.

We've done the homework and have the details, and we need
a volunteer to serve as PrideFest Recycling Chair. If you want
to help reduce the refuse generated at PrideFest and you
have a strong back and an open-bed pickup (and a helper or
two), pls contact us at info@anchoragepride.com.  Help
us make PrideFest '07 a GREEN event!
