« on: 2011, January 07, 03:08:40 pm »
Anyways.. just wanted to say that I'm planning on joining the military since that I have nothing else to do.. haha. Yeah sure sure, I do have other options.. but for some reason.. I'd rather take this route instead.  Earlier today, I went to go see a recuiter.. it wasn't that bad as I thought it would be. : p  So the guy told me that I need to loose some weight.. (it's cause I'm redicolusly short.. >.>) but o well.. I can probaby loose it in no time... hopefully.. Haha.

 Soo yeah.. Just thought that I'd let y'all know n what not.. So laters! ^.^

What made you decide with the Service?
Well ever since I've graduated from high school.. I've been doing nothing but sitting on me arse.. Yeah sure, I have been looking for a job and what not.. but nothing came up with that. After a while of my dad nagging me to get a job, I just decided to go military. I'm not exactly doing this for myself, it's more for my dad. Because I want him to be proud if atleast one of his kids and not feel like a failure at raising my 2 siblings and I by himself. Since me being the youngest and both my siblings screwed up their life so far.. it's up to me. Heh, nothing like pressure, eh? ^.^;

If that is your reason for joining the military, then I urge you to reconsider.
Joining the military for any reason other than yourself is the wrong choice.
Besides, most parents are proud of their kids no matter what.
Besides, if its success you are looking for, why not attend UAF or UAA? There are plenty of great financial aid opprotunities and student jobs.

I am with Maize here.

Join the Service because you want to, not because you have to.

Well that's not the only reason why I'm going to join, but it is the main one. I have actually been thinking if joining ever since sophmore year in high school, but in my senior year I was thinking of going to college instead. What changed my mind was that my stepma is most likely going to be offered a job in a different state, and my da said that if that happens, then I'm going to have to find a place of my own. Being that I have no job and have applied to so many places but have not recieved anything back, Im left with the military. But oh wells, I'm cool with it. : p

Are you still wondering about joining or what? Cause I am in the Army Reserve and can answer a lot of questions in a non-biased fashion.
I am the Hammer, I am the point of His Sword. I am the tip of His Spear. I am the gauntlet about His Fist, I am His sword as He is my armor. I am His wrath and He is my zeal. Let us be His Shield, Let us speak His word as He fuels the fire of devotion. Let us fight His battles, as he fights the battle at the end of time, and let us join him there, for duty ends not in death. I am the bane if His foes and the woes of the treacherous! I am the end!

Having already been overseas, here is my suggesting; I say go AF if you have the smarts too. Then again, if you have the smarts to join the AF, then why not go to school ... UAA is actually pretty cheap and a nice campus.
