Need roomate in Fairbanks????

Why are you moving to Fairbanks without having a place worked out where you can live?  I hope you can find a permanent place quick, or can afford to stay in a hotel or something since winter is coming soon.

Well i have places im looking at....i have plenty of money saved up but where i live the 3 bedroom houses go for 700 a month and no one charges first and last months rent with a deposit, if anything its just a deposit equaling no more than half the first months rent,so its hard to conceive that a cabin with no running water goes for 500 a month.
And then to top it all off i cant meet with any of these people in person since im out of state so they want me to wait until i get there to look at the places and decide, so its proving to be a very fun move lol

Yeah, housing in Alaska is EXPENSIVE.  Here in Anchorage you'd be lucky to find a two-bedroom apartment for less than $1000 a month (which typically does not cover some utilities, like electricity).  You pretty much need roommates to live anywhere decent.

Hopefully all goes well for you with meeting people in Fairbanks.

me too, ive been trying to avoid the dry cabin scene but i might take that route...but having to go somewhere to take a shower sounds like risky buisness to me lol and with me being transgender and all (i havent had SRS yet) i just dont want them to be communal if anything and i have to take a shower DAILY so it sounds like a hassle...plus ill be walking everywhere, preparing to lose my gut finally though

ive lived in bad housing situations before...i got kicked out of my parents house when i was 16 and had to fend for myself, so being poor really doesnt phase me and if i can at least keep up with my appearance then modest living is ok with me. Hell i refused to drive a car because i wanted to be earth friendly so i always commuted with a bicycle, people thought i was stupid since they all love their BIG TRUCKS and GOIN MUDDIN lol i eventually gave into a moped for a while but ive gained so much weight i really dont want to ever drive again despite limitations for jobs. Im sad, i know
