Hello everyone.  Anyone from MCC will likely know me as Ben, the near-mute companion of Oni (the loud one who goes on and on if you let him).  Let's see, a little about me.  I'll be 21 on February 14th, been in Alaska pretty much all my life (aside from short vacations in other states).  I'm a student at UAA, majoring in Computer Science, but haven't really gotten myself very far into the subject yet.  I'm not a member of MCC, I attend mostly to support Oni.  I also enjoy the people there and it's interesting to learn things from the sermons and other people.

I am an athiest, mostly because I'm not really one to believe in something purely because of faith.  I need solid evidence to really believe something.  I don't really believe in any god(s) or higher powers, but I'm not the type of person who will say for a "fact" that "there is no God" or anything.  I just choose to not believe in it.  I do like hearing about religions though, as long as the people talking about it are respectful and not "preachy".  I hate when people try to convert me, but if people are just sharing their beliefs and letting me take in what they say how I want to, it's fun.  Learning about both large and lesser known or very old religions is pretty fun.

Anyways, I may add more to this later, but for now I think that is good enough.  If anyone has questions they want me to answer, I'd be glad to do it.

a Valentines baby, huh? I was born February 10. This year we're going out to dinner for Valentines AND my birthday. Hey, life's short!         We exchanged vows during an MCC Valentines service a few years ago...

Good intro.  I enjoy learning about other religions too.  It is amazing how often there is common ground.  And sometimes you stumble across unique insights on life.
