Do Gay and Lesbians go to Hell?
What about those who do not believe in god?
Glad to be of Service.

Well in the Old Testment, it sounds like pretty much everyone went to hell, if you take the laws and rituals as serious law. So in light of the new testament i think most people are in the clear.

[bible]John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. So WHO EVER believes in him shall not parish, but have ever lasting life.[/bible]

I think that states out very clearly. So if you take a look at a religious view point...

YES gays would go to heave IF that person believes in Him.

For those who don't, will go to Hell.

Heh, Gays And lisbians are a sin but so was stealing, When jesus came to earth he came to save us from all our sins, When a woman who was a prositute was going to get stoned he picked up a stone and said "those who have not sinned may cast the first stone" All those who had a stone had to drop it for they all sinned. He then went to her and told her she was forgiven. So if you are gay then why wont you be forgiven? do you know the two men beside christ on that cross were both theives one was the first to go in the book of life [Found out on a book that had to do with the bible] He called jesus lord and jesus told him that him and that theif will both be walking to paradise. So in a way if a gay or lesbian believed in god they too have been forgiven cause I dont beleive jesus just came to earth to say "well you are a theif so that's  ok so you can go but that person hmm nah she had sex with another girl, off to hell for her" He did not say that but instead he hugged all sinners and all those around him. For he loved us as our father in heaven has loved him. he then took our place on that cross so that we could get the love that god gave him. He took our punishment to save us. He took Sin, Law and death to that cross and tomb and he resurrected. Our christ is among us and he has freed us from our sins and from death, In christ you live for enternaty :) do not doubt yet do not fear of what god has for you. for you are a child of god and his love for you will never leave. Those who dont believe are still loved by god and so are those who do believe. for if you have done a sin and you are worried you are not forgiven do not be afraid cause god and jesus love you and have already forgiven you even before you were alive. your sins were taken 2000 years ago on that cross :)
One can not tell another that they are not worthy for what right does one have to tell the other when he is too probley being judged by one higher?

My problem with this is that to be forgiven, you have to admit that you were wrong in the first place.  Whether you ask for it or not, to be forgiven is being told "You are wrong, but that's okay."  I personally don't believe that being gay is "wrong" so even if I believed in any sort of god, even if all I needed to do was ask for forgiveness for what I did "wrong," I would never do it.  I would much rather be happy with who I am, how nature intended for me to be, than to feel like I am inherently "wrong" and feel like I need to seek forgiveness just for existing.

when i was growing up catholic, purgatory was the place you got sent to for minor violations.  things like eating red meat on friday. you only went to hell for violating one of the ten comandments.

personly i thing any honest person would be welcomed into heaven.

I dont think I am wrong but then again who knows? But look, being forgiven is yes being wrong but christ did not let one to say they were wrong instead he told them that they were forgiven as it said in the bible.  I dont make things up but instead I read and tell what I read. Gay and Lesbians is nothing wrong I admit to that but to some it was a sin. for instance in some churchs but I disagree with what they do and how they treat gays and so. Yes everyone should be welcomed but some churchs have priest that are so harsh they dont want any sinner to come but then again we are all sinners. We are all wrong in some ways but we were not made to tell lies but still do, if things were right then what would be the use of being saved? Christ was our saviour and our way to heaven. He took our sins onto that cross and god gave us what jesus deserved as christ took what we deserved which is also said in the bible. I agree being your self is good and so is everything you have said. but in all terms arent we all wrong at times? have you done something wrong yet you wonder if you were forgiven? Jesus forgave all, the world was currupted but Christ came and freed us. I do alot wrong at times. but I am glad I have christ within me and I follow the path he has for me. Many were taught different which does seem to happen, but the thing is we get to learn what each other was told and so. So really we shouldnt doubt what one has said. I am straight but I know gays and lesbians but I see them as brothers and sisters for they are my brothers and sisters in the eyes of god. why doubt one for what they say when you can try to understand where they are coming on? I do not speak of my words alone but I seek to tell others what things are told and how I am taught, does not make a preacher wrong to say but it tells others what he was told and how he sees things.
