Predictions of Jesus' Death and of the Gospel

Premillennialism claims that God did not plan for Jesus to die, but when the Jews unexpectedly rejected Jesus and crucified Him, God introduced the gospel instead of the testament He had anticipated. Were the sacrifice of Jesus and the gospel  prophesied and predicted in the Old Testament, or were they unplanned changes in God's plan? When Jesus returns, will He establish an earthly kingdom in which Mosaic sacrifices will be offered by the Levitical priesthood in the temple in Jerusalem?

I don't think Jesus' horrible death on the cross would be something God just pulled out of thin air.  Then again, it also seems to cruel to be planned.  I'll have to withhold an answer on this one.

I can't imagine Jesus would rule a kingdom on Earth--at least, not an eternal kingdom.  The Earth, as lovely as it is, won't last forever, even if we use our resources wisely.  The Earth will become absorbed and burned by the sun, and long before that, we'll have to move to another planet.

Although if Jesus intends to take us planet hopping, I have no problem with that.

I would have to say that God is the Master of such plans, and everything works in his devine plan. But what I have to wonder is what will religion look like in the time of Gods return to this earth.
