I use Partner, as in 'domestic partner'... just used that this morning when talking with a potential employer. 'Boyfriend' applies to the beginning stages of a relationship, in my view.
'Husband' is what he calls me amongst friends, but is too wierd for many straight folks to feel comfortable using. 'Wife' implies more of a feminine role than either of us are willing to consider using out loud...  :D

Like Oni I would say Companion, or Lover. Because I dont see mine often...but ya know what she is loyal to me, and stays for me, and will always be there for me. but we will never get married, and are far beyond girlfriend/boyfriend. We are in a state if understanding if you will.
OHH LOOK! Its Sonic....Can I have his autograph!?

"Late for Dinner"

Only when he is late for dinner...But I never dare call him my biotch...When we are at Freddy's and they ask if I would like a bag for my two pieces of candy, I say no I have one, and point to Fox....That gets me in trouble...

Inamorato, perhaps.  To refer that he is male. (where inamorata would refer to a female)
But for now, I use the term "Not applicable".  :P

Usually wife, or my girl if I'm speaking to others, if I'm speaking to her it's usually something along the lines of "Kitten" mainly cause she actually purrs in her sleep. It's so cute.

The title of any significant other I have would depend on my relationship with that person. If he's in a relationship with me, I'd just call him my boyfriend, if we're married, I'd call him my husband, if he's a close friend who I occasionally have sex with, then he's a good friend. :)
