Ummm, no. I can buy whatever movie I want. So if one day I do buy Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back, I can watch it when it is convenient. I think your thoughts about how I should appreciate ALL the other movies is just dumb and silly. It's called freedom.

No I dont think you should apreachate all movies. I just think you should apreachate the history of some thing, instead of just knowing a bit about it.

With out Clerks there would be no Jaye and Silent Bob. But you couldnt even sit through that because the author thought it should be in black and white. Bet you if it was in colour you would love it.

Maybe its just my opinion. And it most likly is. But I feel that if you are going to love the present her and now, you should appreachate, and carefor the past. But if you cant look past some thing as simple as a black and white colour skeme how are you to see the whole picture?

Take some of the best horror films of all time. The Excorsist, or The Grudge. Would you still watch them if they were in black and white. What about Saw. What if it was in black and white? or would you snub them untill they came out in colour.

You also seem to believe I am that petty. *sigh* I really dont care what you watch, I just think its funny that can snub something for that reason. What if you decided that you could never be with a green person, and you fall in love, and you are with this women for 15 years, but do to Medicial condition they turn green. Would you snub her adn leave her because she was green. Or what happens if she use to be green and is now normal colour. Would you have her hide her past because she was once green?

Correct me if I am wrong; however, was it not you that said that the past of a person in irrelevant? For example your past, you don't like to share all of your past because you believe folks don't need to know of one's past. I could be wrong on what i just said.

You are correct. ... That was a bad comparison. But when comparing it to say a movie character, Such as Jaye and Silent Bob. You could watch the movie with out watching the others that came before it. But if you do that, you will miss about 90% of the movie. And to say you wont watch the past when given the option because it is not new and fresh looking, you are loosing out on a bit of who they are now.

I noticed you liked Clerks 2. But that's  cause it was in colour.

So I am confused exactly why you will not appreacate something for what it is, and why you focus on one little "flaw" that is not actually a flaw. But adds to the movie.

That is like watching the New Star Wars 123, and refusing to watch the old 456, because the old dont have new shiny graphics. Why bother with 456 when the graphics are so out dated and trashy. I mean you can see the strings, and glitches all through out the movies. But then again, if you dont watch 456 you will miss out on so much in 123.

But I love 456 of Star Wars. The story and theme is much better than 123- even though 123 does have up to date graphics & cinema effects.

Guess for me black and white takes away my focus. In color I can see the details and be intrigue where as B&W doesn't. It's just black, white, and the different shadings between those colors.

But doesnt watching sub title movies take away in the same respect?
You cant watch both at the same time. You can try but you are always going to iether miss some words or miss what is going on in the sceen, and alot of the times there is more to the sceen than were the characters are standing.

And what if the author wanted you to see it in b/w vs colour. Would you have snubed jaye and silient bob if they were in b/w?

In b/w some times the artist does not want you to focus on the colour but the pic its self. Say for example the very cool pics James took of us. Would you snub them for a colour one? I notice you use a b/w on my space....
Why not sub a black and white one because it takes away from your beauty?

Lol, I am an anime fan so subs is require in mostly all the movies I watch. For me, the subs does not take away the movies because I can always re-watch the movie.

Also, B&W photos are lovely. That is where I like photos to be, Black and White. It is beautiful. Sometimes a photo is more powerful in Black and White than color.

Sometimes I think making a movie in black and white can add to the effect.  For example, recently there was a movie "Good Night and Good Luck," and it was in black and white.

But if you don't like black and white films, I guess you won't like "House on Haunted Hill." :(

Oh well.  Maybe Oni and Ben will watch it with me. <3 I bought it yesterday.

I have not seen any good remake horror films. I would say though that the Exersism of Emily Rose was really good. Wouldnt call it a horror though, nor a remake but a different telling of the same story.

I say we hide her TV and purchase only a Black and White one.  Make her watch everything in B&W until she can appreciate a movie that way.

I mean, when we watched Cars at your parents place, for whatever reason it was black and white and she sat through it just fine.
