« on: 2007, February 12, 06:37:02 am »
Meow,
What do you feel a church can do for you?
What do you feel a church should do for you?
Why do you go to church?
Can you find God(s) at home, some were else?
Glad to be of Service.

What do you feel a church can do for you?  It can inspire me to make it through the week.  It can make me think about how I interact with my world.  It can make me think about my beliefs.

What do you feel a church should do for you?  Challenge me to grow as a person, as a child of God.  Support me when I am in times of trials.

Why do you go to church?  For the reasons above, and because I meet interesting people, and make good friends.

Can you find God(s) at home, some were else?  I find God everywhere I go.  Everywhere.  Especially out in the quiet beauty of nature.

Well for me, I don’t expect a church to do anything for me. I view it as I am doing something for the church, and the people with in. I don’t ask, nor care for anything back. I am aware that Karma will bring a balance but it may not come from the church. The church should inspire and teach. Guide when people ask it of them. I feel that a church is there for it’s people. For others I think MCC could do a whole lot. For example becoming a lot more active in the community, inviting and brining other churchs to visit. A church should be aware of the people out side its congratation and care for them and there needs as well as it’s own. I think a church is people caring for others. Not just a place to gather and worship.
For me…not a darn thing. Again, I don’t expect anything from the Chruch. What I give to the chuch I give because I have the ability to give it, and I see a place that would beinifit from my presence there. So I help.
Why do I go to church. Again to help, to learn a bit bit, to grow, and to inspire, to teach, to guide, to help and to assisit, meet new friends, learn about there persons, and enjoy the company of friends. Once a week out side my own House it is good to know there is a place were people go because of a good Idea, and I like to help that idea. Even if the only way I can help is showing up. I go for others, for the thought that once a week wether you are happy or sad you can feel the energy of every person in that room. I go to explore and relax thinking that people are happy that they are able to all join together in one place and even though they are different people, some gay, some lesbian, som strait, some consirivitive, some liberal, some Christian, some mormon, some cats, some fox’s, and even wolfs, all come for the same idea. I go because of the lack of discrimination, and my own basic idea’s are being tought there, and I think that is so cool.
What do I do for the church. Well before MCC I made it a hobbie of picking them apart. Here I help. I help in what ever way I can and am able, and because of the potential I see for MCC I don’t think I am doing enough. I do I am able.

If you know how to look you can find your god were ever they are suppose to be.

well there is my response to my own questions. What ya all think
Glad to be of Service.

though I rely on the Biblical scholarship of the pastor to help guide me and give some inspiration, I agree that the congregation itself can be inspriational. I get more of a lift from participating in a service containing 40 people than a group of 10.

I don't feel a church can help me. It never has in the past and I no longer care to try. I think a church should do things not for the individual, but for the whole. I believe the members of a church should get together and help people in their hour of need, wether it's something as simple as bringing them to their god, or repairing an elderly woman's house because she cannot do it herself. Churches should always be upstanding beacons of the community, an example of human kindness and good will. However, this is rarely the case. I personally do not go to church. 90% of them it's merely a once-a-week gathering to compare clothing. The last 10% that I've seen don't follow my religion anyway, so there is no church for me. I believe people go to church for inspiration, however. Something to help them go through the week, knowing all their trials will be rewarded in the end, and not to lose hope.

I dont need much for Through Christ I have it. God gave me everything I need. But why do I need church? Well I love going to the church I go to. It makes me feel safe and I love it there for the people I meet.

Well Gods home is also in you for we are the temples of god. I know I am safe and I love it but church sometimes can answer things that being at other places cant. I just feel like I am home at church. Stress doesnt go there yet hate stays away. which is how I love it.

I love being there for that's  the place Jesus reached me at, He reached me at the church after I gave up on things, He gave me my life back and he gave me a way to live. He gave me the love I never had in a while, He gave me hope in life as I have gave my life to him. I dont see church as a place to hang out but I see church as a place to live life and learn about him. My bible helps me alot but the words that others say help aswell. I go to church to serve him to show him that he done alot and to show him that nothing anymore can change how I am for I live for god, this blood and body belongs to god and christ noone else.
One can not tell another that they are not worthy for what right does one have to tell the other when he is too probley being judged by one higher?
