 Alaska Aces go pink for breast cancer 10/10-11

The Alaska Aces are going to present two special nights for Cancer Awareness on October 10 & 11 at the Sullivan Arena. Our goal is to provide our community with information about this tragic disease and help raise over $75,000 to be donated locally to two cancer support groups.� All the money stays in Alaska . All the local hospitals will be involved; the first night will focus on cancer in general and the Thursday night game will be specifically for Breast Cancer. On both nights, the Alaska Aces are painting the ice pink and the players will be in commemorative pink jerseys; the jerseys will be auctioned off after the game Thursday night. Scott Gomez has also donated an autographed New York Rangers jersey to be auctioned off as well. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday for $12. Ed. Note: Okay, they might not think it’s a gay event but how could you not like this?
