Furry on the Radio.
« on: 2007, November 20, 08:40:58 am »
Yep it was me. If any of you were listening to 106.5FM KWHL. I was on it. They commented on Furries. And well I had to put my 2 cents in.

Can't say it was great. As I was half awake. But if they are kind enough to give me the clip. I will post it here.
Glad to be of Service.

Can you at least give us a summary of what they were saying and what you commented on?  I'm curious. :p

And sorry, it looks like I won't be seeing you before I leave for Kenai tomorrow.

Oni, if they won't give you a recording, just tell us what it was about, and what you said.  It's unlikely you'll be able to.  Rosa told me they don't even save stuff like that unless it's important.

They have to save a copy LOL, and i know they have  a copy cause they play it from time to time.

Blast. ...

They were talking about how the police had pulled some one over on the way out to eagle river, and in his trunk they found a ... anitomicaly correct plushy. And said he must be one of those weird furries.

And so I called to correct them....ok that didn't work out to well. I called and ended sounding like a fool by the time all was said and done. but it was still fun.
Glad to be of Service.

Well...who else would have an anatomically correct plushie? :p

Thanks for telling us, though. :)

When you say "not furries," do you mean furries would never have one?  Or that someone who's not furry might have one?

I suppose you're right.  But I think most people would automatically think "furry" if they saw something like that.  Was this guy serious, or was he joking?

Either way, it doesn't really matter if you sounded like a fool or not.  You felt the need to correct someone, and you did.

Of course, I might change my mind if I ever hear the clip. :p

lol Tried to correct. didnt work out to well. LOL. Oh well

as far as that last comment. People that use those are called plushies, but some plushies are furries and some furries are plushies.

I'm just a little fuzzy on this definition

* Badinage suspects Oni may have singlehandedly pushed the Alaskan furry rights movement back decades.

Roflol. Reading over that. it was most likly to the best worded post lol.

What I am saying is. Some Plushie's are Furrie's, and some Furrie's are Plushie's. But Furries and Plushies are two different types of people.

I was referring to the original incident of your calling a radio station about a furry issue, and noone knowing or remembering what was actually said :3
