COME TO THE COMMUNITY CENTER COOKIE EXCHANGE ON JANUARY 1!!

We hope you will join us on New Years Day at the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Anchorage, where we will have the FIRST DAY OF THE NEW YEAR, *YOUR* FIRST CHANCE TO TO VISIT - AND SUPPORT - *YOUR* COMMUNITY CENTER!

For years now the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Anchorage has been a wonderful resource for both those who are well established in the glbt community and also very importantly those young and old who are just coming out. The Center was recently the focus of a news report about gay families in Alaska on Anchorage Channel 11. Well, we are ALL part of a family, the glbt family! So I hope you'll come join that family for a cookie exchange and get together!!

What? Cookie Exchange and Get Together for the New Year!!
Where: The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Anchorage, 336 E 5th Ave., Anchorage call 929-4528 for directions
When? January 1, 2008 (New Years Day!) 3pm - 9pm
How can you help? Bring yourself, and any store bought or home baked cookies, brownies and non-alcoholic drinks you wish to share.

Sounds like fun, but how else can I help?
LOTS of ways!!!
     A)For just $30 a year for a basic membership, you help Identity keep the Center open, as well as help fund Pride on the Park Strip, the Pride Conference and other wonderful events throughout the year.
     B)2008 is pretty much wide open for Adopt-A-Day, and folks can adopt for themselves, or in honor of loved ones, anniversaries, birthdays, loved ones lost, etc., etc., etc. For $50 you can pay for the operation of the Gay and Lesbian Community Center for a day, and you will be helping members of our community to continue to have a warm, welcoming place where they can get information, check out glbt books and movies, meet other glbt people, have their organization meet in the Conference Room, etc., etc.!
     C)You can bring in GLBT literature and movies to donate the book and movie libraries!
     D)You can bring in non-perishable snacks and non-alcoholic drinks such as sodas and bottled waters to share with other visitors throughout the year.

And anything you donate is tax deductible!!!

So please join us for the cookie exchange and get together, bring a plate of cookies, brownies and non-alcoholic drinks and ring in a new, wonderful year at YOUR Gay and Lesbian Community Center!!!
